For micro-mips, srlv inside POOL32A encoding space should use 0x50
sub-opcode, NOT 0x90.
Some early version ISA doc describes the encoding as 0x90 for both srlv and
srav, this looks to me was a typo. I checked Binutils libopcode
implementation which is using 0x50 for srlv and 0x90 for srav.
v1->v2:
- Keep mm_srlv32_op sorted by value.

commit c50cbd85cd7027d32ac5945bb60217936b4f7eaf upstream.
When checking for TIF_32BIT_REGS flag, mips_get_syscall_arg() should
use the task specified as its argument instead of the current task.
This potentially affects all syscall_get_arguments() users

isa_virt_to_bus() & isa_bus_to_virt() claim to treat ISA bus addresses
as being identical to physical addresses, but they fail to do so in the
presence of a non-zero PHYS_OFFSET.
Correct this by having them use virt_to_phys() & phys_to_virt(), which
consolidates the calculations to one place & ensures that ISA bus
addresses do indeed match physical addresses.

commit f5958b4cf4fc38ed4583ab83fb7c4cd1ab05f47b upstream.
Use the `unsigned long' rather than `__u32' type for DSP accumulator
registers, like with the regular MIPS multiply/divide accumulator and
general-purpose registers, as all are 64-bit in 64-bit implementations
and using a 32-bit data type leads to contents truncation on context
saving.
Update `arch_ptrace' and `compat_arch_ptrace' accordingly, removing
casts that are similarly not used with multiply/divide accumulator or
general-purpose register accesses.

[ Upstream commit d5ea019f8a381f88545bb26993b62ec24a2796b7 ]
This reverts commit 2a027b47dba6 ("MIPS: BCM47XX: Enable 74K Core
ExternalSync for PCIe erratum").
Enabling ExternalSync caused a regression for BCM4718A1 (used e.g. in
Netgear E3000 and ASUS RT-N16): it simply hangs during PCIe
initialization. It's likely that BCM4717A1 is also affected.
I didn't notice that earlier as the only BCM47XX devices with PCIe I
own are:
1) BCM4706 with 2 x 14e4:4331
2) BCM4706 with 14e4:4360 and 14e4:4331
it appears that BCM4706 is unaffected.
While BCM5300X-ES300-RDS.pdf seems to document that erratum and its
workarounds (according to quotes provided by Tokunori) it seems not even
Broadcom follows them.
According to the provided info Broadcom should define CONF7_ES in their
SDK's mipsinc.h and implement workaround in the si_mips_init(). Checking
both didn't reveal such code. It *could* mean Broadcom also had some
problems with the given workaround.

commit 18f3e95b90b28318ef35910d21c39908de672331 upstream.
While a barrier is present in the outX() functions before the register
write, a similar barrier is missing in the inX() functions after the
register read. This could allow memory accesses following inX() to
observe stale data.
This patch is very similar to commit a1cc7034e33d12dc1 ("MIPS: io: Add
barrier after register read in readX()"). Because war_io_reorder_wmb()
is both used by writeX() and outX(), if readX() need a barrier then so
does inX().

commit 2a027b47dba6b77ab8c8e47b589ae9bbc5ac6175 upstream.
The erratum and workaround are described by BCM5300X-ES300-RDS.pdf as
below.
R10: PCIe Transactions Periodically Fail
Description: The BCM5300X PCIe does not maintain transaction ordering.
This may cause PCIe transaction failure.
Fix Comment: Add a dummy PCIe configuration read after a PCIe
configuration write to ensure PCIe configuration access
ordering. Set ES bit of CP0 configu7 register to enable
sync function so that the sync instruction is functional.
Resolution: hndpci.c: extpci_write_config()
hndmips.c: si_mips_init()
mipsinc.h CONF7_ES
This is fixed by the CFE MIPS bcmsi chipset driver also for BCM47XX.
Also the dummy PCIe configuration read is already implemented in the
Linux BCMA driver.
Enable ExternalSync in Config7 when CONFIG_BCMA_DRIVER_PCI_HOSTMODE=y
too so that the sync instruction is externalised.

[ Upstream commit 08889582b8aa0bbc01a1e5a0033b9f98d2e11caa ]
When building a kernel targeting a microMIPS ISA, recent GNU linkers
will fail the link if they cannot determine that the target of a branch
or jump is microMIPS code, with errors such as the following:
mips-img-linux-gnu-ld: arch/mips/built-in.o: .text+0x542c:
Unsupported jump between ISA modes; consider recompiling with
interlinking enabled.
mips-img-linux-gnu-ld: final link failed: Bad value
or:
./arch/mips/include/asm/uaccess.h:1017: warning: JALX to a
non-word-aligned address
Placing anything other than an instruction at the start of a function
written in assembly appears to trigger such errors. In order to prepare
for allowing us to follow function prologue macros with an EXPORT_SYMBOL
invocation, end the prologue macros (LEAD, NESTED & FEXPORT) with a
.insn directive. This ensures that the start of the function is marked
as code, which always makes sense for functions & safely prevents us
from hitting the link errors described above.

commit 6a6cba1d945a7511cdfaf338526871195e420762 upstream.
The default CM target field in the GCR_BASE register is encoded with 0
meaning memory & 1 being reserved. However the definitions we use for
those bits effectively get these two values backwards - likely because
they were copied from the definitions for the CM regions where the
target is encoded differently. This results in use setting up GCR_BASE
with the reserved target value by default, rather than targeting memory
as intended. Although we currently seem to get away with this it's not a
great idea to rely upon.
Fix this by changing our macros to match the documentated target values.
The incorrect encoding became used as of commit 9f98f3dd0c51 ("MIPS: Add
generic CM probe & access code") in the Linux v3.15 cycle, and was
likely carried forwards from older but unused code introduced by
commit 39b8d5254246 ("[MIPS] Add support for MIPS CMP platform.") in the
v2.6.26 cycle.

commit 11a3799dbeb620bf0400b1fda5cc2c6bea55f20a upstream.
Fix a regression introduced with commit fb6883e5809c ("MIPS: microMIPS:
Support handling of delay slots.") and defer to `__compute_return_epc'
if the ISA bit is set in EPC with non-MIPS16, non-microMIPS hardware,
which will then arrange for a SIGBUS due to an unaligned instruction
reference. Returning EPC here is never correct as the API defines this
function's result to be either a negative error code on failure or one
of 0 and BRANCH_LIKELY_TAKEN on success.

commit 71a0a72456b48de972d7ed613b06a22a3aa9057f upstream.
Some GCC versions (e.g. 4.8.3) can incorrectly inline a function with
MIPS32 instructions into another function with MIPS16 code [1], causing
the assembler to genereate incorrect binary code or fail right away
complaining about unrecognized opcode.
In the case of __arch_swab{16,32}, when inlined by the compiler with
flags `-mips32r2 -mips16 -Os', the assembler can fail with the following
error.
{standard input}:79: Error: unrecognized opcode `wsbh $2,$2'
For performance concerns and to workaround the issue already existing in
older compilers, just ignore these 2 functions when compiling with
mips16 enabled.

Copy __kvm_mips_vcpu_run() into unmapped memory, so that we can never
get a TLB refill exception in it when KVM is built as a module.
This was observed to happen with the host MIPS kernel running under
QEMU, due to a not entirely transparent optimisation in the QEMU TLB
handling where TLB entries replaced with TLBWR are copied to a separate
part of the TLB array. Code in those pages continue to be executable,
but those mappings persist only until the next ASID switch, even if they
are marked global.
An ASID switch happens in __kvm_mips_vcpu_run() at exception level after
switching to the guest exception base. Subsequent TLB mapped kernel
instructions just prior to switching to the guest trigger a TLB refill
exception, which enters the guest exception handlers without updating
EPC. This appears as a guest triggered TLB refill on a host kernel
mapped (host KSeg2) address, which is not handled correctly as user
(guest) mode accesses to kernel (host) segments always generate address
error exceptions.

Writing CP0_Compare clears the timer interrupt pending bit
(CP0_Cause.TI), but this wasn't being done atomically. If a timer
interrupt raced with the write of the guest CP0_Compare, the timer
interrupt could end up being pending even though the new CP0_Compare is
nowhere near CP0_Count.
We were already updating the hrtimer expiry with
kvm_mips_update_hrtimer(), which used both kvm_mips_freeze_hrtimer() and
kvm_mips_resume_hrtimer(). Close the race window by expanding out
kvm_mips_update_hrtimer(), and clearing CP0_Cause.TI and setting
CP0_Compare between the freeze and resume. Since the pending timer
interrupt should not be cleared when CP0_Compare is written via the KVM
user API, an ack argument is added to distinguish the source of the
write.

Since commit 4c21b8fd8f14 ("MIPS: seccomp: Handle indirect system calls
(o32)"), syscall_get_arguments() attempts to handle o32 indirect syscall
arguments by incrementing both the start argument number and the number
of arguments to fetch. However only the start argument number needs to
be incremented. The number of arguments does not change, they're just
shifted up by one, and in fact the output array is provided by the
caller and is likely only n entries long, so reading more arguments
overflows the output buffer.
In the case of seccomp, this results in it fetching 7 arguments starting
at the 2nd one, which overflows the unsigned long args[6] in
populate_seccomp_data(). This clobbers the $s0 register from
syscall_trace_enter() which __seccomp_phase1_filter() saved onto the
stack, into which syscall_trace_enter() had placed its syscall number
argument. This caused Chromium to crash.
Credit goes to Milko for tracking it down as far as $s0 being clobbered.

On MIPS the GLOBAL bit of the PTE must have the same value in any
aligned pair of PTEs. These pairs of PTEs are referred to as
"buddies". In a SMP system is is possible for two CPUs to be calling
set_pte() on adjacent PTEs at the same time. There is a race between
setting the PTE and a different CPU setting the GLOBAL bit in its
buddy PTE.
This race can be observed when multiple CPUs are executing
vmap()/vfree() at the same time.
Make setting the buddy PTE's GLOBAL bit an atomic operation to close
the race condition.

The lose_fpu() function only disables the FPU in CP0_Status.CU1 if the
FPU is in use and MSA isn't enabled.
This isn't necessarily a problem because KSTK_STATUS(current), the
version of CP0_Status stored on the kernel stack on entry from user
mode, does always get updated and gets restored when returning to user
mode, but I don't think it was intended, and it is inconsistent with the
case of only the FPU being in use. Sometimes leaving the FPU enabled may
also mask kernel bugs where FPU operations are executed when the FPU
might not be enabled.
So lets disable the FPU in the MSA case too.

Guest user mode can generate a guest MSA Disabled exception on an MSA
capable core by simply trying to execute an MSA instruction. Since this
exception is unknown to KVM it will be passed on to the guest kernel.
However guest Linux kernels prior to v3.15 do not set up an exception
handler for the MSA Disabled exception as they don't support any MSA
capable cores. This results in a guest OS panic.
Since an older processor ID may be being emulated, and MSA support is
not advertised to the guest, the correct behaviour is to generate a
Reserved Instruction exception in the guest kernel so it can send the
guest process an illegal instruction signal (SIGILL), as would happen
with a non-MSA-capable core.
Fix this as minimally as reasonably possible by preventing
kvm_mips_check_privilege() from relaying MSA Disabled exceptions from
guest user mode to the guest kernel, and handling the MSA Disabled
exception by emulating a Reserved Instruction exception in the guest,
via a new handle_msa_disabled() KVM callback.

commit ed4cbc81addbc076b016c5b979fd1a02f0897f0a upstream.
activate_mm() and switch_mm() call get_new_mmu_context() which in turn
can enable the HTW before the entryhi is changed with the new ASID.
Since the latter will enable the HTW in local_flush_tlb_all(),
then there is a small timing window where the HTW is running with the
new ASID but with an old pgd since the TLBMISS_HANDLER_SETUP_PGD
hasn't assigned a new one yet. In order to prevent that, we introduce a
simple htw counter to avoid starting HTW accidentally due to nested
htw_{start,stop}() sequences. Moreover, since various IPI calls can
enforce TLB flushing operations on a different core, such an operation
may interrupt another htw_{stop,start} in progress leading inconsistent
updates of the htw_seq variable. In order to avoid that, we disable the
interrupts whenever we update that variable.

Whenever we modify a page table entry, we need to ensure that the HTW

that HTW is stopped before we modify the said entry otherwise the HTW
may already be in the process of reading that entry and fetching the
old information. As a result of which, we replace the htw_reset() calls

When EVA is turned on and prefetching is being used in memcpy.S,
the v1 register is being used as a helper register to the PREFE

means that the compiler did not preserve it across function calls,

Starting with version 2.24.51.20140728 MIPS binutils complain loudly
about mixing soft-float and hard-float object files, leading to this
build failure since GCC is invoked with "-msoft-float" on MIPS:
{standard input}: Warning: .gnu_attribute 4,3 requires `softfloat'
LD arch/mips/alchemy/common/built-in.o
mipsel-softfloat-linux-gnu-ld: Warning: arch/mips/alchemy/common/built-in.o
uses -msoft-float (set by arch/mips/alchemy/common/prom.o),
arch/mips/alchemy/common/sleeper.o uses -mhard-float
To fix this, we detect if GAS is new enough to support "-msoft-float" command
option, and if it does, we can let GCC pass it to GAS; but then we also need
to sprinkle the files which make use of floating point registers with the
necessary ".set hardfloat" directives.
