commit c4e85f73afb6384123e5ef1bba3315b2e3ad031e upstream.

This will be used in the conversion of ipv6_stub to ip6_dst_lookup_flow,
as some modules currently pass a net argument without a socket to
ip6_dst_lookup. This is equivalent to commit 343d60aada5a ("ipv6: change
ipv6_stub_impl.ipv6_dst_lookup to take net argument").

As it was done in commit 8f659a03a0ba ("net: ipv4: fix for a race
condition in raw_sendmsg") and commit 20b50d79974e ("net: ipv4: emulate
READ_ONCE() on -&gt;hdrincl bit-field in raw_sendmsg()") for ipv4, copy the
value of inet-&gt;hdrincl in a local variable, to avoid introducing a race

<title>ipv6: fix EFAULT on sendto with icmpv6 and hdrincl</title>

[ Upstream commit b9aa52c4cb457e7416cc0c95f475e72ef4a61336 ]

The following code returns EFAULT (Bad address):

  s = socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_RAW, IPPROTO_ICMPV6);
  setsockopt(s, SOL_IPV6, IPV6_HDRINCL, 1);
  sendto(ipv6_icmp6_packet, addr);   /* returns -1, errno = EFAULT */

The IPv4 equivalent code works. A workaround is to use IPPROTO_RAW
instead of IPPROTO_ICMPV6.

The failure happens because 2 bytes are eaten from the msghdr by
rawv6_probe_proto_opt() starting from commit 19e3c66b52ca ("ipv6
equivalent of "ipv4: Avoid reading user iov twice after
raw_probe_proto_opt""), but at that time it was not a problem because
IPV6_HDRINCL was not yet introduced.

Only eat these 2 bytes if hdrincl == 0.

<title>ipv6: Consider sk_bound_dev_if when binding a raw socket to an address</title>

[ Upstream commit 72f7cfab6f93a8ea825fab8ccfb016d064269f7f ]

IPv6 does not consider if the socket is bound to a device when binding
to an address. The result is that a socket can be bound to eth0 and
then bound to the address of eth1. If the device is a VRF, the result
is that a socket can only be bound to an address in the default VRF.

Resolve by considering the device if sk_bound_dev_if is set.

[ Upstream commit a688caa34beb2fd2a92f1b6d33e40cde433ba160 ]

In rawv6_send_hdrinc(), in order to avoid an extra dst_hold(), we
directly assign the dst to skb and set passed in dst to NULL to avoid
double free.
However, in error case, we free skb and then do stats update with the
dst pointer passed in. This causes use-after-free on the dst.
Fix it by taking rcu read lock right before dst could get released to
make sure dst does not get freed until the stats update is done.
Note: we don't have this issue in ipv4 cause dst is not used for stats
update in v4.

Alexander reported various KASAN messages triggered in recent kernels

The problem is that ping sockets should not use udp_poll() in the first
place, and recent changes in UDP stack finally exposed this old bug.

raw_send_hdrinc() and rawv6_send_hdrinc() expect that the buffer copied
from the userspace contains the IPv4/IPv6 header, so if too few bytes are
copied, parts of the header may remain uninitialized.

This bug has been detected with KMSAN.

[ Upstream commit 105f5528b9bbaa08b526d3405a5bcd2ff0c953c8 ]

In situations where an skb is paged, the transport header pointer and
tail pointer can be the same because the skb contents are in frags.

This results in ioctl(SIOCINQ/FIONREAD) incorrectly returning a
length of 0 when the length to receive is actually greater than zero.

skb-&gt;len is already correctly set in ip6_input_finish() with
pskb_pull(), so use skb-&gt;len as it always returns the correct result
for both linear and paged data.

By setting certain socket options on ipv6 raw sockets, we can confuse the
length calculation in rawv6_push_pending_frames triggering a BUG_ON.

<title>udp: must lock the socket in udp_disconnect()</title>

Baozeng Ding reported KASAN traces showing uses after free in
udp_lib_get_port() and other related UDP functions.

A CONFIG_DEBUG_PAGEALLOC=y kernel would eventually crash.

I could write a reproducer with two threads doing :

static int sock_fd;
static void *thr1(void *arg)
{
	for (;;) {
		connect(sock_fd, (const struct sockaddr *)arg,
			sizeof(struct sockaddr_in));
	}
}

static void *thr2(void *arg)
{
	struct sockaddr_in unspec;

	for (;;) {
		memset(&amp;unspec, 0, sizeof(unspec));
	        connect(sock_fd, (const struct sockaddr *)&amp;unspec,
			sizeof(unspec));
        }
}

Problem is that udp_disconnect() could run without holding socket lock,
and this was causing list corruptions.
