<title>configfs: replace strncpy with memcpy</title>

commit 1823342a1f2b47a4e6f5667f67cd28ab6bc4d6cd upstream.

gcc 8.1.0 complains:

fs/configfs/symlink.c:67:3: warning:
	'strncpy' output truncated before terminating nul copying as many
	bytes from a string as its length
fs/configfs/symlink.c: In function 'configfs_get_link':
fs/configfs/symlink.c:63:13: note: length computed here

Using strncpy() is indeed less than perfect since the length of data to
be copied has already been determined with strlen(). Replace strncpy()
with memcpy() to address the warning and optimize the code a little.

<title>configfs: Fix race between create_link and configfs_rmdir</title>

commit ba80aa909c99802c428682c352b0ee0baac0acd3 upstream.

This patch closes a long standing race in configfs between
the creation of a new symlink in create_link(), while the
symlink target's config_item is being concurrently removed
via configfs_rmdir().

This can happen because the symlink target's reference
is obtained by config_item_get() in create_link() before
the CONFIGFS_USET_DROPPING bit set by configfs_detach_prep()
during configfs_rmdir() shutdown is actually checked..

This originally manifested itself on ppc64 on v4.8.y under
heavy load using ibmvscsi target ports with Novalink API:

To close this race, go ahead and obtain the symlink's target
config_item reference only after the existing CONFIGFS_USET_DROPPING
check succeeds.

This way, if configfs_rmdir() wins create_link() will return -ENONET,
and if create_link() wins configfs_rmdir() will return -EBUSY.

<title>configfs: fix race between dentry put and lookup</title>

A race window in configfs, it starts from one dentry is UNHASHED and end
before configfs_d_iput is called. In this window, if a lookup happen,
since the original dentry was UNHASHED, so a new dentry will be
allocated, and then in configfs_attach_attr(), sd-&gt;s_dentry will be
updated to the new dentry. Then in configfs_d_iput(),
BUG_ON(sd-&gt;s_dentry != dentry) will be triggered and system panic.

sys_open:                     sys_close:
 ...                           fput
                                dput
                                 dentry_kill
                                  __d_drop &lt;--- dentry unhashed here,
                                           but sd-&gt;dentry still point
                                           to this dentry.

 lookup_real
  configfs_lookup
   configfs_attach_attr---&gt; update sd-&gt;s_dentry
                            to new allocated dentry here.

                                   d_kill
                                     configfs_d_iput &lt;--- BUG_ON(sd-&gt;s_dentry != dentry)
                                                     triggered here.

To fix it, change configfs_d_iput to not update sd-&gt;s_dentry if
sd-&gt;s_count &gt; 2, that means there are another dentry is using the sd
beside the one that is going to be put. Use configfs_dirent_lock in
configfs_attach_attr to sync with configfs_d_iput.

With the following steps, you can reproduce the bug.

1. enable ocfs2, this will mount configfs at /sys/kernel/config and
   fill configure in it.

2. run the following script.
	while [ 1 ]; do cat /sys/kernel/config/cluster/$your_cluster_name/idle_timeout_ms &gt; /dev/null; done &amp;
	while [ 1 ]; do cat /sys/kernel/config/cluster/$your_cluster_name/idle_timeout_ms &gt; /dev/null; done &amp;
