when the array is full.

Avoid the PHY library call unnecessarily into the suspend/resume
functions by setting phydev-&gt;mac_managed_pm to true. The ASP driver
essentially does exactly what mdio_bus_phy_resume() does.

<title>net: ethernet: broadcom: Convert to platform remove callback returning void</title>

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() is renamed to .remove().

Trivially convert these drivers from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

rule_locs is allocated in ethtool_get_rxnfc and the size is determined by
rule_cnt from user space. So rule_cnt needs to be check before using
rule_locs to avoid OOB writing or NULL pointer dereference.

for_each_available_child_of_node performs an of_node_get
on each iteration, so a break out of the loop requires an
of_node_put.

This was done using the Coccinelle semantic patch
iterators/for_each_child.cocci

The "loc" value comes from the user and it can be negative leading to an
an array underflow when we check "priv-&gt;net_filters[loc].claimed". Fix
this by changing the type to u32.

Referring to platform_get_irq()'s definition, the return value has
already been checked, error message also been printed via
dev_err_probe() if ret &lt; 0. Calling dev_err_probe() one more time
outside platform_get_irq() is obviously redundant.

Removing dev_err_probe() outside platform_get_irq() to clean up
above problem.
