fix warning:

  drivers/net/depca.c: In function ‘depca_eisa_probe’:
  drivers/net/depca.c:1564: warning: ‘mem_start’ may be used uninitialized in this function

this seems to be a real bug - depca_eisa_probe() does not check
for failure. Add it, symmetric to depca_isa_probe().

<title>netdevice: safe convert to netdev_priv() #part-2</title>

We have some reasons to kill netdev-&gt;priv:
1. netdev-&gt;priv is equal to netdev_priv().
2. netdev_priv() wraps the calculation of netdev-&gt;priv's offset, obviously
   netdev_priv() is more flexible than netdev-&gt;priv.
But we cann't kill netdev-&gt;priv, because so many drivers reference to it
directly.

This patch is a safe convert for netdev-&gt;priv to netdev_priv(netdev).
Since all of the netdev-&gt;priv is only for read.
But it is too big to be sent in one mail.
I split it to 4 parts and make every part smaller than 100,000 bytes,
which is max size allowed by vger.

The generic packet receive code takes care of setting
netdev-&gt;last_rx when necessary, for the sake of the
bonding ARP monitor.

Drivers need not do it any more.

Some cases had to be skipped over because the drivers
were making use of the -&gt;last_rx value themselves.

This converts pretty much everything to print_mac. There were
a few things that had conflicts which I have just dropped for
now, no harm done.

I've built an allyesconfig with this and looked at the files
that weren't built very carefully, but it's a huge patch.

We now have struct net_device_stats embedded in struct net_device,
and the default -&gt;get_stats() hook does the obvious thing for us.

Run through drivers/net/* and remove the driver-local storage of
statistics, and driver-local -&gt;get_stats() hook where applicable.

This was just the low-hanging fruit in drivers/net; plenty more drivers
remain to be updated.

<title>[netdrvr] depca: handle platform_device_add() failure</title>

The following patch fixes a kernel bug in depca_platform_probe().

We don't use a dynamic pointer for pldev-&gt;dev.platform_data, so it seems
that the correct way to proceed if platform_device_add(pldev) fails is
to explicitly set the pldev-&gt;dev.platform_data pointer to NULL, before
calling the platform_device_put(pldev), or it will be kfree'ed by
platform_device_release().
