<title>ARM: 9263/1: use .arch directives instead of assembler command line flags</title>

Similar to commit a6c30873ee4a ("ARM: 8989/1: use .fpu assembler
directives instead of assembler arguments").

GCC and GNU binutils support setting the "sub arch" via -march=,
-Wa,-march, target function attribute, and .arch assembler directive.

Clang was missing support for -Wa,-march=, but this was implemented in
clang-13.

The behavior of both GCC and Clang is to
prefer -Wa,-march= over -march= for assembler and assembler-with-cpp
sources, but Clang will warn about the -march= being unused.

clang: warning: argument unused during compilation: '-march=armv6k'
[-Wunused-command-line-argument]

Since most assembler is non-conditionally assembled with one sub arch
(modulo arch/arm/delay-loop.S which conditionally is assembled as armv4
based on CONFIG_ARCH_RPC, and arch/arm/mach-at91/pm-suspend.S which is
conditionally assembled as armv7-a based on CONFIG_CPU_V7), prefer the
.arch assembler directive.

Add a few more instances found in compile testing as found by Arnd and
Nathan.

Commit aaac3733171fca94 ("ARM: kvm: replace open coded VA-&gt;PA calculations
with adr_l call") removed all uses of .L__boot_cpu_mode_offset, so there
is no longer a need to define it.

<title>arm: Remove the ability to set HYP vectors outside of the decompressor</title>

Although we have to bounce between HYP and SVC to decompress and
relocate the kernel, we don't need to be able to use it in the
kernel itself. So let's drop the functionnality.

Since the vectors are never changed, there is no need to reset them
either, and nobody calls that stub anyway. The last function
(SOFT_RESTART) is still present in order to support kexec.

<title>ARM: 8955/1: virt: Relax arch timer version check during early boot</title>

Updates to the Generic Timer architecture allow ID_PFR1.GenTimer to
have values other than 0 or 1 while still preserving backward
compatibility. At the moment, Linux is quite strict in the way it
handles this field at early boot and will not configure arch timer if
it doesn't find the value 1.

Since here use ubfx for arch timer version extraction (hyb-stub build
with -march=armv7-a, so it is safe)

To help backports (even though the code was correct at the time of writing)

Robert Jarzmik reports that his PXA25x system fails to boot with 4.12,
failing at __flush_whole_cache in arch/arm/mm/proc-xscale.S:215:

   0xc0019e20 &lt;+0&gt;: ldr r1, [pc, #788]
   0xc0019e24 &lt;+4&gt;:     ldr     r0, [r1]	&lt;== here

with r1 containing 0xc06f82cd, which is the address of "clean_addr".
Examination of the System.map shows:

c06f22c8 D user_pmd_table
c06f22cc d __warned.19178
c06f22cd d clean_addr

indicating that a .data.unlikely section has appeared just before the
.data section from proc-xscale.S. According to objdump -h, it appears
that our assembly files default their .data alignment to 2**0, which
is bad news if the preceding .data section size is not power-of-2
aligned at link time.

Add the appropriate .align directives to all assembly files in arch/arm
that are missing them where we require an appropriate alignment.

The assembler defaults to emiting the short form of ADR, leading
to an out-of-range immediate. Using the wide version solves this
